ABOUT FURLONGS TRAVEL

Furlongs Travel started in Sevenoaks, Kent, in 1982. We began with a specialist theatre and concert ticket service, launched an ABTA travel agency in 1983, and added our own tour operations in 1986. Nowadays we concentrate solely on our escorted holiday tours, each of which is researched, designed and personally escorted by our proprietors, Richard and Dawn Furlong. 

Our tour programme varies from season to season but generally features a mix of UK, European and Worldwide destinations. Each holiday is planned in great detail. Richard and Dawn visit destinations, inspect accommodations, meet potential suppliers at first hand, and take advice from local guides and tourist authorities. And unlike most tour operators we don't use local agents because we prefer to contract suppliers direct. This gives us a unique control over day-to-day tour operations and allows us to provide a particularly high level of care and attention together with exceptional value for money. 

We're delighted that over 90% of our guests have chosen to travel with us on more than one occasion, probably one of the highest 'repeat rates' in the travel industry.
