The Scottish Country Dance holidays organised by Furlongs Travel at the Crieff Hydro have become a byeword for enjoyment for all who have attended. Started in 1997, their popularity soon spread amongst the Scottish dance community and over 200 dancers now enjoy these special gatherings each year. Why not come along and join us?
With its wonderful air of bon-hommie, the award-winning Crieff Hydro offers very comfortable accommodations. All bedrooms are en-suite and have been refurbished over recent years, and your holiday includes full Scottish breakfasts and evening meals each day.
Live music for dancing is provided by no less than six top dance bands and dance classes are included with Anita Mackenzie. Richard and Dawn Furlong, organisers of these special Crieff events, are your hosts. You can be sure of a friendly welcome and memorable dancing.
Further details are shown below and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

For over 130 years the Crieff Hydro has been welcoming people from all over the world. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of picturesque Perthshire with the Strathearn valley as a backdrop, and views of Ben Vorlich and Ben More in the distance. The Hydro is a 4-star, award winning establishment with exceptional facilities. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms have bathtub with shower unit above, and some rooms have walk in shower. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table or desk area and hairdryer. All rooms have tv and telephone. There are spacious public rooms and extensive facilities including a large indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath. The hotel's 900 acre estate boasts woodland walks and nature trails, horse riding, a golf complex, tennis, bowling, badminton, croquet and putting lawn. For more details, visit the hotel web site, www.crieffhydro.com
Crieff Hydro’s accommodation falls into two distinct décor styles:-
Traditional rooms - In keeping with the age of the building the traditional rooms are characterised by cornicing, rich colours such as deep reds and gold, and tie backs. All rooms are 4-star "VisitScotland" standard.
Contemporary rooms - Using classic creams and beiges, in both the bedroom and bathroom. These rooms have a modern more minimalist feel. Again, all rooms are 4-star "VisitScotland" standard.
Within these styles there are two room categories, "standard" and "executive". Standard rooms boast en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table or desk area, hairdryer, colour tv and telephone. Executive rooms tend to be larger, with a higher standard of décor and may have the best views of the hills, woodland or over Crieff. Guests in executive rooms also receive a complementary Scotsman newspaper each morning.
The Crieff holiday includes accommodation in standard rooms. Should you wish to consider "upgrading" to executive rooms, the supplement is £15 per person per night when sharing twin or double bedded accommodation. There are no single rooms in the executive category, although you may upgrade to the sole use of a twin or double executive room, subject to availability and a daily surcharge. Please ask for further details.
