Following another 'sold out' week at Crieff in June 2008, we're delighted to confirm the 2009 holiday dates. The season will start on Friday 12th June 2009 and conclude on Friday 19th June 2009. As normal you may choose your own dates subject only to a minimum two-night stay. Further details are shown below and final holiday prices and the dance band line-up will be confirmed in due course.
You may secure your place now, no obligation, by telling us which dates you are interested in and what type of hotel room you require. A booking will be held and further details will be sent to you in September 2008. At that stage you decide to commit and pay the normal deposit, or simply release your booking and there's nothing to pay.
Some further details are shown below and final information will be updated in due course. If you have any questions in the meantime please don't hesitate to contact us.
The Crieff season for 2009 will start on Friday 12th June and concludes on Friday 19th June. You may choose your own dates with a minimum stay of two consecutive nights. Extra nights (outside the advertised dates) may also be available should you wish to extend your stay. All dates are subject to room availability.
Most guests stay for the "weekend" or a "five-night package", and many choose to stay all seven nights. Here are some further details:-
WEEKEND PACKAGE STARTING FRIDAY 12TH JUNE 2009
Arrive on Friday 12th June 2009 for a 2-night stay with dances on both Friday and Saturday evenings complete with live music from two top bands. There's an optional dance class with Anita Mackenzie on the Saturday morning, and the holiday includes breakfasts and dinners.
FIVE-NIGHT PACKAGE STARTING SUNDAY 14TH JUNE 2009
Arrive on Sunday 14th June 2009 for a five-night stay, with dancing on the Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings - featuring a different top dance band each night! Optional dance classes with Anita Mackenzie are available on the Monday and Wednesday mornings, and there's a complimentary excursion during the day on Tuesday. Party night on Tuesday evening features a special dinner plus professional entertainment.
SEVEN-NIGHT PACKAGE STARTING FRIDAY 12TH JUNE 2009
Arrive on Friday 12th June 2009, combine the weekend and five-night packages, and give yourself a £10 per person discount.
CHOOSE YOUR OWN DATES
Subject to availability you may choose any two or more consecutive nights between 12th and 18th June 2009 inclusive to include dinner, bed & breakfast and the programmed events.
It's easy to extend your stay before or after the advertised dates. We offer a special rate to include dinner, bed & breakfast. Please contact us to check availability.
Subject to availability, single rooms are available without supplement. Singles have the same facilities as standard rooms although many feature a shower unit rather than a bath tub. Single rooms have one bed and are not overly spacious. If you are booking alone but may be willing to share a twin bedded room, please let us know and we will try our best to find you a twin-sharer.
For over 130 years the Crieff Hydro has been welcoming people from all over the world. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of picturesque Perthshire with the Strathearn valley as a backdrop, and views of Ben Vorlich and Ben More in the distance. The Hydro is a 4-star, award winning establishment with exceptional facilities. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms have bathtub with shower unit above, and some rooms have walk in shower. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table or desk area and hairdryer. All rooms have tv and telephone. There are spacious public rooms and extensive facilities including a large indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath. The hotel's 900 acre estate boasts woodland walks and nature trails, horse riding, a golf complex, tennis, bowling, badminton, croquet and putting lawn. For more details, why not visit the hotel's own web site, click here.
Crieff Hydro’s accommodation falls into two distinct décor styles:-
Traditional rooms - In keeping with the age of the building the traditional rooms are characterised by cornicing, rich colours such as deep reds and gold, and tie backs. All rooms are 4-star "VisitScotland" standard.
Contemporary rooms - Using classic creams and beiges, in both the bedroom and bathroom. These rooms have a modern more minimalist feel. Again, all rooms are 4-star "VisitScotland" standard.
Within these styles there are two room categories, "standard" and "executive". Standard rooms boast en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table or desk area, hairdryer, colour tv and telephone. Executive rooms tend to be larger, with a higher standard of décor and may have the best views of the hills, woodland or over Crieff. Guests in executive rooms also receive a complementary Scotsman newspaper each morning.
The Crieff holiday includes accommodation in standard rooms. Should you wish to consider "upgrading" to executive rooms, the supplement is £TBA per person per night when sharing twin or double bedded accommodation. There are no single rooms in the executive category, although you may upgrade to the sole use of a twin or double executive room, subject to availability and a daily surcharge. Please ask for further details.
Dance bands for 2009 to be confirmed.
The 2008 dance programmes are shown below. The 2009 programmes may be slightly different, but not much! Printed crib sheets (using the Minicrib system) will be provided with final holiday tickets if you request them in advance.
